Horseshoe(collar) Ruin: The well preserved roof is to the left
of the Horsecollar Ruin. The constrution detials are clearly visible:
4 layers of wood/straw and then mud/clay. It is in such good state
since few people make the effort to get to this site by hiking several
miles in the canyon bottom.
This well preserved ruin is located in a canyon in Natural Bridges National Monument about 20 miles to the northwest of Cedar Mesa. More info at the NBNM site: Horsecollar Ruin Please do not touch, step on nor into the ruins. They are extremely fragile. Just take some nice photos. |
