| Rain Storm over Cedar MEsa: In August/September 1999 when I
visited the area it very often rained quite heavily, as opposed to
2000 when there was almost a drought.
The left 'ear' of Bear Ears' peaks is visible to the right of the photo.
There is a scenic road to the notch in-between the ears which affords expansive
views over Cedar Mesa and has great camping spots. But beware!
If it has rained in the area in the past day or two the unpaved road to
the top is DANGEROUS! You can slide off the road and get killed.
